Since 2005 I’ve been involved in some capacity with healthcare.

Content: Books, websites, newsletters, and podcasts. A newsletter about infection control. A book about billing and coding. Feature writing.

Topics covered: Wide-ranging. Including, but not limited to, accreditation; credentialing; regulation and compliance; healthcare insurance; social services. A recent project involved helping patients in vulnerable populations gain access to Medicare coverage for prescription drugs.

Past and present content collaborators: Clinical reviewers; doctors; nurses; medical writers; patients.

Fields other than content creation: Advocacy; social services; admin.

Today: A main interest is in helping people access information to readily contend with healthcare concerns. I also enjoy doing profiles of those who face medical challenges, and with aplomb—recently, clients dealing with low vision (a series written for the Massachusetts Commission for the Blind.
