In 2005, an excerpt from FINAL CONFECTIONS, a novel-in-progress, was one of 30 winners in a field of 600 in the City of Boston's Poetry and Prose exhibit celebrating the life and lore of the Hub.

In 1993, under the pseudonym Mary Adams, she published FROM STREET TO STARDOM, a YA biography of Whoopi Goldberg (Dillon Press/Macmillan).

In 1992, Billboard Publications extended the William H. Donaldson Award for Editorial Excellence to BPI trade publication Photo Business for superb coverage of the photo retail industry. Associate Editor, Mary Cresse.
