Summary
I'm a freelance writer and editor based in Greater Boston.
I started my career in magazines and branched out to books and newspapers, most serving a national readership. My byline has appeared in USA Today, the San Francisco Chronicle, the Boston Globe, and Photo/Design. Once based in New York, I edited copy for BusinessWeek, Entertainment Weekly, People, and Interview. I wrote YA nonfiction for Macmillan.
My focus is now social justice. I've written content for the Massachusetts Commission for the Blind, the Executive Office of Health and Human Services (Diversity and Civil Rights), and SpeakOUT, a Boston-based volunteer speakers bureau promoting awareness of the LGBTQ community.
I have a special interest in those facing food insecurity. Since 2011 I have worked for or volunteered at food pantries.
Currenly my portfolio is under construction; however, I'm happy to send you links to my work.
