Summary

I'm a freelance writer and editor based in Greater Boston.

I started my career in magazines and branched out to books and newspapers, most serving a national readership. My byline has appeared in USA Today, the San Francisco Chronicle, the Boston Globe, and Photo/Design. Once based in New York, I edited copy for BusinessWeek, Entertainment Weekly, People, and Interview. I wrote YA nonfiction for Macmillan.

My focus currently is social justice. I've written content for the Massachusetts Commission for the Blind, the Executive Office of Health and Human Services (Diversity and Civil Rights), and SpeakOUT, a Boston speakers bureau promoting awareness and visibility of the LGBTQ community.

I have a special interest in those facing food insecurity. Since 2011 I have worked for or volunteered for food pantries.
